In “Base”, industrial labor and the refinement of unique works are combined in a mutually enhancing relationship. “Base” features a single protagonist element, glass, revealing its two completely different identities.

This material presents all the possibilities of feminine, flexible volumes juxtaposed with neat, clean geometric silhouettes. The two glass structures are connected at the center by a metal ring containing luminous elements.

Effortlessly elegant and functional – it is this unprecedented combination of qualities that naturally gives “Base” its dual identity as a glass sculpture in daylight and a lamp in the dark.

When the lamp is turned on, another duality of surface: since both bases of the lamp can be used as top and/or bottom supports, “Base” can provide an atmospheric glow thanks to the columnar pattern and amber hue on one side, and the reading light, thanks to the smoky and transparent top of the other. It is then up to the user to decide which base will be the basis of their “base” experience.
